Description
Peter Manning is a Professor of Ecology at the University of Bergen whose research examines the relationships between land use, biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services. In recent years he has expanded this work to include the human component, in a social-ecological systems approach.
Role in the project
In GrassConnect the UiB team will lead the modelling of grassland multifunctionality at the farm scale. Using geospatial ecosystem service models of European farms we will investigate the impact of new grassland management strategies on multiple ecosystem services and the stakeholders who depend on these.
