Description
The French Livestock Institute (Idele) is a non-profit, non-governmental R&D organization appointed by the French ministry of agriculture. It is the French national technical reference and normative body in livestock farming systems. Its activities concern applied research, engineering and technical assistance, technology transfer and innovative solutions. They offer answers to societal questions and current challenges, serving the stakeholders of livestock farming and its sectors. It is involved in several European research projects.
Role in the project
Idele leads Work Package 1 and supports MAGHub facilitators in setting up and managing their hubs. It provides training in participatory facilitation methods, multi-actor engagement and qualitative research approaches.
Within WP2, Idele contributes to the identification, development and validation of relevant indicators for regulating and cultural ecosystem services and farm landscapes. It also supports the design of digital solutions for ecosystem-service monitoring.
Within WP5, Idele contributes as a tool developer to improving tools for ecosystem-service assessment and decision-making at field and farm levels.
Idele also supports the facilitation of the Occitanie and Brittany MAGHubs.
More broadly, Idele contributes to the project’s research, communication and dissemination activities and participates in the Executive Committee.
