Arla Foods is an international dairy cooperative owned by approximately 11,200 farmer owners across seven European countries. Following the merger with DMK Group in 2026, Arla became one of the world’s largest farmer-owned dairy companies, collecting around 19.4 billion kg of milk annually. Arla’s strategy, Future26 and Feed Life™, focuses on delivering nutritious dairy products while advancing sustainable dairy farming through climate action, biodiversity enhancement, animal welfare, and resilient food production systems.
Role in the project
Arla is a partner in the Danish MAGHub, together with Aarhus University.
Arla contributes expertise in farmer engagement, practical dairy farming and sustainability, helping connect researchers, advisors and farmers. It supports the recruitment and participation of farmers, facilitates stakeholder collaboration and helps ensure that project outputs are relevant, practical and applicable to Danish dairy-production systems.
