The Occitanie Regional Chamber of Agriculture is a public body managed by elected farmers. The pastoralist service has a huge expertise on permanent grasslands (CAP definition) in Mediterranean climatic conditions. It produces pastoscope, pastoscopie which are reference documents for the advisors in the French mediterranean area, support livestock growers in sheep, goat and bovine in the Causses et Cevennes (unesco labeling) and the pyrenees for the pastoral questions. On the other side, the CRAO watch the CAP legislation (on going, next) in all its aspects and support an association for the ecosystem services payment with some dedicated to the pastoral activities.
